A Message of Hope from Sam Sadat
Yes we all know what's happening. The cost of living is on the rise, the home values are plummeting, people are under pressure, the sky is falling and the future looks bleak. Sam, what kind of message of hope is this? Well, I want you to know that I am in touch with what's happening. Unlike many other experts, I don't live in my bullet proof ivory tower
dispensing rhetoric. I feel the pain and emphasize with all of you good folks who are going thru hard times. I'm here to help, so feel free to call me anytime.
I often speak of finding light in darkness, finding opportunity in crisis, finding love in fear, finding hope in despair and many other dualities in life that make our existence possible.
What is hope? It's to expect with confidence: TRUST. What do you trust in? Yourself and the Universe to give you what you desire. How can you do that when things look so bad? Well, what color lenses are you wearing? If they're brown, you'll see everything around you in brown. You get the message, right? Change your lenses and you'll perceive the world differently.
Let me explain the nature of the Universe and it'll all make sense to you. Scientifically speaking, "the universe is indeed coherent, unified and organized around unifying patterns. Nonlinear Dynamics has verified that there is no chaos in the universe; the appearance of disorder is merely a function of perception" This is a quote from Dr. David Hawkins in his
awesome book, Power vs. Force. Let me make it simple for you. Nothing happens by accident. It's all part of a "Divine Plan" or a play wherein we're all actors playing our roles. So, do we have control? Yes and no. they're both happening simultaneously. As Dr. Carl Jung reminded us, "at the same moment that you're a protagonist making choices in your life, you're also a spear carrier in a much larger drama."
What does this all have to do with hope/trust? What I am saying is that it's all in order. Do not question what's happening to you now but rather decide what you will do to improve your life. How? Education, Connection and Action. The trinity of hope. First get education which means enlightenment. Second, get connected to others and ask for what you need and want
and finally act upon your knowledge. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. So always have hope, even in the darkest moments of your life, as you never know what lies ahead. Miracles do happen to those who expect them. And yes, you have the power to manifest your destiny, as everyday is a new arrival with all kinds of possibilities.
At our monthly meetings, we do discuss what's happening around us but I always instill hope and confidence in you to expect the best and get what you deserve from life. So, I encourage you to attend our March 25th meeting and bring your friends and family members to an evening of edutainment: education and entertainment. I hope to see you all there.

Doubt is the worst enemy of human beings
Animals have no doubts because they have no minds (ego). A cat does what a cat is supposed to do without any judgments or considerations. It chases a mouse and if unsuccessful it pursues another option to feed itself. Have you ever seen a cat, or any other animal for that matter, to put its paw on its head saying "you're such a bad cat because you couldn't even
catch a mouse?"
Doubt never enters its mind because it does not have a mind! Yes, it does have a brain, however small, but there is no mind (ego) to render judgment on its behavior and doubt its ability to perform well in the future.
Is there such a thing as a peace of mind? No, because if there is a mind there can be no peace and if you want peace you can't have your mind interfering with your life. A better, more accurate expression should be "peace of no mind." It's very hard, if not impossible, to eliminate the mind all together, as it does serve a purpose at this stage of human evolution.
But we can be mindful of this process of doubting our abilities every time something goes "wrong".
What happens when doubt enters your mind? It erodes your confidence, it deprives you of your self esteem and it betrays your soul. And when this happens, most people quit trying and submit to mediocrity. Why is it that 90% of people in America, the richest civilization known to man, never achieve their full potential? Because they doubt their abilities and fail to
see how great and magnificent they truly are.
From now on, make a commitment to yourself NOT to doubt your abilities to achieve your goals. When doubt enters your mind, don't give it energy by resisting it. Simply allow it to pass by focusing your attention on your goal. Visualize the desired outcome and doubt will melt away.
It's ok to talk to yourself. You are not crazy if you talk to yourself in a positive and reassuring manner. But you will go crazy if you belittle yourself every time the universe is not going your way. Here is what you can say to yourself to stay the course and set aside reoccurring episodes of doubts:
- I am confident about my ability to achieve my goals.
- I am able to overcome all setbacks, as these are really feedbacks from the Universe which will guide me toward my goal. I am on track to be financially independent.
- I trust the process of Life, as it's always working in my favor.
- I have total certainty that I will succeed at whatever I choose to be, do and have.
Speaking of guiding you to a life of joy and prosperity, I have committed myself to do a monthly teleseminar. Many people attended the first one on Monday the 4th and I'm happy to say that it was warmly embraced. A link will be available on our site for those who missed it. We all need mentors and guides to experience success and happiness. So, allow me to be the
one for you by joining in our monthly teleseminars. I welcome your feedback. There is no greater joy in my life than helping you to achieve your goals.

Education, Connection & Action: The Keys to Success in Real Estate
There are three components to our success philosophy at the National Club of Real Estate Investors (NCREI). Some of you who attend our monthly meetings know more about it because we often take time discussing them. But for many others who may wonder about our trinity of Education, Connection and Action, I thought this would be a good time to illuminate.
Without a doubt education is the most fundamental element of success in both business and life in general. The word comes from Latin educatus meaning to rear or help to grow or bring self sufficiency through nurturing. It also means to draw out something hidden, latent, or reserved. Well, we do all of the above at NCREI meetings, seminars and trainings. We help you to tap into your latent potential. We
nurture you to gain self reliance and an ability to operate at high levels. This is what gives me the most joy in life, helping others to get enlightened and realize how powerful they truly are. The second component of our trinity is connection. The root of this word is from Latin, conectere, meaning to establish a communication. To me it implies the very essence of networking, a word or concept we
hear almost everyday. What does networking really mean? To fulfill someone's needs in exchange for yours in order to create a mutually rewarding working relationship. You'd be surprised to know how this very powerful component of success is so easily overlooked. I see people spend thousands of dollars in passive advertising campaigns but overlook the single most effective way to achieve
financial success, looking someone in the eye, shaking his/her hand and ask for what's needed and wanted. Ask them what they need and see if you can mutually fulfill each other's needs. It's that simple and yet extremely potent! We have provided a great forum at NCREI for you. It enables you to connect with friendly like-minded people who are looking for someone just like you to help each other get to the
top. So, come and join us in our monthly meetings and see for yourself the power of connection. Remember it's not always about what you can learn from the speakers, it's about your ability to connect with others and learn from your fellow investors. I've been told of numerous occasions when our students made a lot of money in joint ventures working with other investors that they met at a chance meeting at
the club. The third component of our trinity is action. It comes from Middle English and partly Latin, actus, meaning doing or state of existence rather than possibility. So, when we say action, we mean manifesting your objectives and dreams instead of day dreaming or wishful thinking. You see, you can get all the education in the world, all the connections in the universe, but if you fail to act
(do), you will not get anywhere in life. In all my years as an educator, mentor and a national speaker, I have yet to see an educated person succeed without having the courage to act upon his/her plans. Courage is an act of the heart and not of the mind. Most people are involved in doing various activities which they mistake for action. But action has purpose and direction where activity is aimless
and random. Action requires courage where activity is a mental process of analysis. So, when I say action, I mean BUY A PROPERTY. It means you sign a purchase contract and own it. That's how you learn life lessons - in the trenches. You will learn infinitely more in owning one little rental property than you ever will out of years of passive education. So, roll up your sleeves and invest in real estate. If
you don't have a lot of money, do not despair, as there are many opportunities, in and out of state that require very little out of pocket investment, but they all need your courage to break the boundaries of fear and step into the realm of doing instead of thinking.
I am here to help you achieve your life's dreams. Take advantage of my offer and contact me anytime. Wishing you great success and joy in 2008. Regards, Sam Sadat |
December 2007
Whoever said life was easy didn't really know or didn't tell you the truth.
Life is difficult. Life is nothing but a battle between dualities or dichotomies. Each side needs the other to survive, to exist. In fact, one without the other has no meaning, no reality. These days life seems to be getting grim for many good folks. Why it happens is not important because we don't seem to learn from our mistakes anyways. Besides the past of a second ago is
just as gone, just as ancient, as the Trojan War! There is nothing you can ever do to bring the past back, no matter how persuasive or pious you may be. So, you might as well live for the moment in order to experience the intensity of existence and carry it forward to the future.
Life is a constant and never ending cycle - a tug a war between good and bad, light and dark, day and night, success and failure, happiness and sadness, pain and pleasure, hard and soft, male and female, negative and positive and so on, ad infinitum.
It's not about which side is good and which is the bad. We judge it that way and so it is. The reality is both sides need to work together for us to have the human experience, to be alive and here. We would cease to exist if one side wins over the other, the game would be over. Each side is doing its job and our job is to keep our balance and stay in the middle of the stream of
life, where we find serenity, balance and peace of mind.
Examine the current mortgage crisis. The lending industry went totally out of balance and no one seemed to mind because everything was so easy. Here was the motto of the lender; if you can fog the mirror, here is a loan for you! Anything that gets that whacky is bound to produce massive repercussions. Almost everyone wants easy and detests hard. So, we all went along and now we
must pay the price. But while others, not so lucky, are paying the price for their mistakes, greed, etc., you stand to benefit from it all by building a solid financial future for you and your family.
So, what can we do to help ourselves and benefit others? Recognize the opportunity for starters! Recognition is half the way to transformation. Secondly, get off your butt, make a decision to break the bonds of mediocrity and step into the realm of excellence. Become excellent in one thing, and your life develops meaning, which will usually translate into financial freedom for
you and your family. Your energy becomes contagious and infuses others around you to follow your lead, making a difference in their lives.
If you have a vehicle with the potential for helping you achieve financial independence, by all means stick to it and make it happen in the next few years. If you miss this opportunity you may as well get ready to downgrade your life substantially. You think the cost of living in general, and real estate in particular, is high now, just wait 5-7 years. You wouldn't believe the
price of gas, cars, produce, utilities, schools, insurance, etc. They will drive the majority into poverty level. Most will be poor, some financially independent and few highly wealthy. Where do you want to be?
But if you are still looking for a success vehicle, we can help you. Call us and ask for Sam, John or Peter. You'll receive our free consultation in which we'll analyze your financial situation and provide you with powerful options and effective advice. Our doors are open to you all. We embrace the opportunity to help you move toward your dreams in 2008.
I wish you Happy Holidays. May the New Year bring you health, joy and prosperity.

November 2007
In our last meeting I spoke about four components of success and happiness.
Many people wrote or called thanking me and asked if I could write about and elaborate more on this topic. The idea was crystallized in my mind a few weeks ago prompting me to present that in our last meeting when Mr. Bruce Norris was our guest speaker. Perhaps he had something to do with all that. As usual, he was enlightening. For those who have not yet heard his
presentation, I highly recommend it. Just visit our website www.ncrei.com and download his talk. It won’t be there much longer, so take advantage of it now.
Now, back to the four components of success and happiness. They are "Decide, Commit, Persist and Achieve." As I allowed these four words to swirl in my mind, I began to see how I had unconsciously applied each one to any worthwhile endeavor in my own life experience. My further research confirmed that other people felt the same way about how these factors were instrumental in
their own success and happiness.
The first component of success and happiness is to Decide. This word comes from Latin meaning to cut off. What exactly are you cutting off? The distractions, interruptions, doubts, or anything else that might give you other alternatives. Clarity and focus appear in your life when you have no alternatives. When you make a decision, you instantly, and magically, eradicate all
alternatives. You gain a laser like focus in the direction of your dreams and aspirations.
The second component is to Commit. This word also comes from Latin meaning to entrust or to connect. Who are you entrusting or connecting to - yourself? Who else? You entrust yourself to turn your plans into action deliberately. You are now the Capitan of your own ship ready to set sail across the ocean of life. We all know the ocean is filled with mystery, adventure, storms,
and all sorts of challenges.
The third component of success and happiness is to Persist. Since it’s easy to get sidetracked, lose faith and quit all together, we need this component to help us move forward undeterred. Persist comes from Latin meaning to take a stand or stand firm. To persist is to continue to exist, to go on resolutely or stubbornly in spite of opposition. It’s one quality that sets you
apart from the rest. Persistence is omnipotent. Persistence is to have faith in yourself and manifesting your dreams. Quitters never persist and therefore never win. There is no doubt you will face challenges and major obstacles on your way to success and financial freedom. If it were easy everyone would be financially independent. Clearly, the path is filled with cobble stones, and at times you don’t have
shoes to protect you. But I can tell you with confidence that the journey is also very gratifying. Every setback is a feedback, every obstacle you overcome adds to your character, and every victory reinforces your resolve. Without persistence nothing else would matter. It’s the bridge that connects the first two components with the fourth.
The fourth and final component is to Achieve. It comes from Anglo-French meaning to end, to finish. It’s to attain a desired end or aim. Without achieving you cannot have. To have, to possess, and to own is to finish a task at hand. I once knew an artist, a painter, who was struggling to make ends meet. His works were really good and he was wondering why they wouldn’t sell.
Artists are great at creating but not so good at finishing, which is really owning, and therefore the expression, "starving artists."
I asked him when he would consider a painting finished and he said, "When I sign it." I looked around and noticed many were without signatures. I asked him to go through one by one and complete what he needs to do and sign it. Soon afterward, I visited him and noticed many of them were now signed. With his signature came the stamp of finality, a finished task, and achievement.
Not surprisingly, he started selling them, and making a good living from his art.
The reality is that unless we achieve, we can not enjoy the fruits of our labor. Ironically, many people are not good at achieving and therefore unable to have the good things in life. So, my suggestion is to set a goal so you know when you are finished with something. In other words, if you don’t have a target, you can’t aim and you certainly won’t hit anything. When you reach
one goal, acknowledge your achievement and then set another until you get what you want out of life. The truth is you can have anything you want, so, go out there and claim what’s yours.

Creative Thinking
Creative thinking can also mean the realization that there is no particular virtue in having things done the same way all the time. Creative real estate does not mean some unethical or illegal way of acquiring property. It simply means doing it in a way that defies conformity. It's taking the road less traveled which is now covered with pebble stones but soon will be paved for
so many people on their way to homeownership.
Banks and Mortgage Lenders are not liquid so they deny more loans than they fund. Review appraisals are the norm as are cutting values and conditioning for higher down payments. From one extreme to another - from NINJA loans that required no income, no job, no assets, just fog the mirror loans to hard to qualify even if you're qualified loans!
The
fact is that banks playing it very conservative because they want to be absolutely sure they can sell off their loans in the Secondary Market. Otherwise they can be the next casualty in the mortgage meltdown.
In this environment of crisis exists the seed of opportunity, Owner Financing and "Subject To". It behooves all of you to learn both techniques as quickly as possible. Knowing how to probe by
asking the right questions you can structure your purchase with little cash or credit requirements while providing a win-win scenario, you can literally acquire as much real estate as you wish for many years to come. I personally have purchased over 50 properties using these methods as well as having been involved in hundreds more for my clients over the last 12 years. They are real. They are legal and they
work like a charm. You really can get rich.
One component of creative thinking is your ability to ask "what if" questions. "What if" questions help you tap into the universal knowledge source to come up with solutions to every challenge you face. Dormant forces will come alive and you'll find yourself in a world of possibilities hereto unknown to you. You begin to defy conformity and break the
boundaries of limitations to achieve and succeed at much higher levels. Here are some examples of "what if" thinking process.
- What if I could buy this property with nothing down
- What if the seller would accept my low offer
- What if the seller is very motivated to sell in 30 days
- What if the seller is willing to carry back 15% or more of the purchase price
- What if the seller would pay all my closing costs
- What if the seller would let me buy the property subject to his existing mortgage
- What if I bought 20 properties in the next 3 years and achieved financial freedom in the next up swing
I highly encourage you to engage your mind by asking good questions that require creative answers. Next, come to us for training and help. Finally, act on your ideas and let the universe take care of rest. You follow my advice here and I guarantee your success in real estate.

Heal the past, live the present and dream the future.
I mean your real estate past, present and future to be specific. We have all made the wrong decisions in our real estate lives. We did or didn't buy that property, sold in a bad market and lost money or bought at the top of the market and suffered for years, etc. The past for many of us is made up of "failures" or setbacks. These events shape our attitude in the present time
and influence our future greatly.
The fact is these three components are intertwined. If you can't come to terms with your past "mistakes" and carry the load to the present, you can not possibly be experiencing the present, discerning the right opportunities - or avoiding the bad ones. You keep making the same mistakes you did in the past. And if you are not in the present making the right decisions then you
cannot dream about the future. Your attention is scattered and your energy is sapped. Without dreams of a better future, hopes and aspirations for you and your family, there will be nothing to aim for, to win. Life becomes mundane and you become a semi-vegetable.
To be alive is to engage life. To take the beating and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the moon, YES! Perhaps we are not here to solve the mystery. Maybe we are here to say yes to life, no matter how it unfolds. Perhaps we are not meant to discover the secret of the rose. We are here to be in awe of the rose. To be in awe means you're in the
present moment, joyful and grateful, and without the negative impact of the past.
This is why you need to begin with the healing first before you can move on. Realize that you could have, and probably should have done better, but as the poet Omar Khayam reminds us 1,000 years ago, "the moving finger writes and having writ moves on. Nor all thy piety nor with can lure it back to cancel half a line nor all thy tears wash out one word of it". Your past is just
as old as the Trojan War! It is gone, get over it.
If you were to do it all over again without the benefit of the hindsight you would have done the same things, made the same "mistakes". Just acknowledge that and forgive yourself for the mistakes you made. You can call it wisdom. Once the healing of your past takes place your attention, as if by a miracle, becomes laser focused on the present. And this is where you can make all
the right moves because you're tapping into your wisdom (accepting past experiences without judgment). And while this is happening another magical dimension opens to you. You begin to dream about the future, your future and that of your loved ones. This dream is not anxiety or worry or even concern. It's pure visualization with full perception! And there is no greater motivator in life than seeing your future
unfolding before your very eyes. Try it and it works. I guarantee it.

What's Happiness?
One thing is for certain. Pleasure is not happiness. Pleasure comes from outside whereas happiness comes from inside. Pleasure is ephemeral and happiness is enduring. Just look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars….and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole of existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy
for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank accounts! Look at flowers - for no reason. It's simply unbelievable how happy flowers are.
Here is the dichotomy of life. Buddha said life is suffering and he is right. Rumi said life is joy and he is right too. There is a Zen proverb about enlightenment.
"Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water." What does that mean? I used to ponder. Until one day I had an epiphany. It's not that the enlightened people are not going to have disappointments, "failures", grief, etc. The only difference is that enlightened people recuperate quickly and put themselves back in the middle of the stream of life. Life is uncertain
and therein lies our freedom. Life is full of surprises and therein lies our hopes and dreams. Our job is not to question the universe, but rather embrace what comes our way and say yes to everything it offers us. The universe is perfect as it is and if we insist it shouldn't be, then get ready for neurosis and psychosis! Get ready for Paxil, Prozac and the gamut of anti depressant drugs that will drag you
further into oblivion. If you address and handle the cause, you don't need to worry about the symptoms. The cause is almost always related to our insistence that the world should go our way. We simply refuse to accept that we are a part of a much larger picture. When Carl Jung was asked to comment about the duality of life; are we or are we not in control? He had a brilliant answer. "In the same moment that
you are a protagonist in your life making choices, you're also a spear carrier or extra in a much larger drama. You are doomed to make choices." We must accept this premise of life and save ourselves from unnecessary suffering.
Here is a suggestion for you. Start your day by saying thank you to the universe. Your attitude of gratitude will soften the blows and the universe will ultimately reward you
with its providence. Resistance is futile when you're dealing with the divine. Remember God's plan works, yours doesn't! So, accept what comes your way and keep following your heart. Live with passion and have joy in your heart. Let's make our short journey on earth a memorable one and leave a legacy that will last for generations to come.

Action vs. Activity
There is a significant distinction between Action and Activity. Most people are obsessed with activity and have no clue about what constitutes action. They run around setting things off in motion but never get around finishing anything. They are busy but not very productive. They give themselves a false sense of security which has only the appearance of abundance but it’s
nothing short of total scarcity.
Action is spontaneous and requires little or no effort. Activity is reactive and saps your energy. If you are involved in activity you will lose so much energy that when you’re finally ready for action there is no energy left to do the job at hand.
An example of action is when you are hungry and you eat. An example of activity is when you are not hungry and you go on eating anyway! Where action has purpose activity is aimless. Action focuses and responds to the task at hand but activity is fragmented and reacts to situations. Some activities include watching TV, doing the same thing over and over, holding a job you don’t
like, talking randomly, gossiping, gambling, smoking, etc. etc.
If you want to succeed you take action after action after action. If you want mediocrity or worse; financial fears, you engage in an endless string of activities. Busy mind produces activity where silent mind produces action. All the noise and clutter in your mind gives rise to useless activities that will bankrupt your very heart and soul. Did you know that most of mankind’s
troubles stem from an inability to sit in a room alone in silence?
Noise distorts our perception of reality where we no longer can exercise free will. Like a machine we act in accordance with the software and like a machine we never experience any growth. All that being said, which is a sad state of affairs, the whole process is in fact reversible. The better news is that anyone could do it. So Sam, if it’s so easy, why doesn’t everyone do
it? No one said it was going to be easy. It takes discipline and practice. For many of us it’s easier to stay where it’s comfortable so we can avoid going where it takes work. For those who wish to reverse the process and enjoy greater happiness, here are some tips.
Practice silence every day whenever it’s possible. Remember what makes the music is the silence between the notes. Be quiet in your office or your home. It can even be your car if you promise to keep your eyes open and on the road. Be quiet in meditation or pray silently to your spiritual source, whatever it may be. When you meditate or pray you go within. This will open the
door to an inner clarity about who you are and why you were born. Meditation doesn’t necessarily mean you sit on needles all day and chant the OM sound, ooooommmm! For some, meditation could be walking, painting, writing, etc. but what’s important is that you do spend some time by yourself in a space alone in silence. When your mind quiets down, when the machinery take a break, you begin to hear the message
that’s hidden deep inside you. It will show you the path of your life, the music in your heart and your purpose for being here and now.
May your road ahead glow ever brighter,

The Six Mistakes of Man:
1. The illusion that personal gain is made up of crushing others.
2. The tendency to worry about things that cannot be changed or corrected.
3. Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it.
4. Refusing to set aside trivial preferences.
5. Neglecting development and refinement of the mind, and not acquiring the habit of reading and study.
6. Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do.
- Marcus Tullius Cicero (106 B.C. – 43 B.C.)
It never ceases to amaze me that over two thousand years ago our ancestors were speaking and writing about the same concerns we face today. Cicero was a brilliant orator, lawyer, statesman, writer and poet among other things. He was the most influential man of his time and as such his words caused great fear in the hearts of authorities in the ancient Rome. In those days,
however, dissidents were not treated kindly. He was executed in 43 B.C., his head and hands were displayed on the Speaker’s platform at the Forum in Rome. It seems to me that although we have made great strides in human consciousness in certain areas, we still have got a long way to go in many others. The task of accelerating this process is upon each and every one of us. So, I highly encourage you to heed
the words of Cicero and make every attempt to correct these mistakes in your own life. Only in this way can we affect change in the lives of those around us and ultimately propel humanity into yet higher levels of awareness.

Are you a genius?
“Recognized genius may be rare, but genius resides within all of us. There is no such thing as “luck” or “accident” in this cosmos; and not only is everything connected to everything else, no one is excluded from the universe – we’re all members. Consciousness, like physicality, is a universal quality; because genius is a characteristic of consciousness, genius is also
universal. It follows that that which is universal is available to each and everyone.
The process of creativity and genius are inherent in human consciousness. Just as every human has within himself / herself the same essence of consciousness, so is genius a potential that resides within everyone – it simply waits for the right circumstance to express itself.”
- From Power vs. Force by Dr. David Hawkins
So then you are a genius! If you don’t know where your genius resides, it behooves you to do some soul searching or seek guidance from a coach or mentor to ascertain your true genius. Only in this way can you fulfill your life’s mission and achieve a high level of joy and prosperity.

Have you noticed that an unprecedented opportunity is about to unfold in our industry? The crisis we’re about to encounter can provide the astute and educated investor with a great chance to become financially independent. We all know that we can make money in a good market, but history shows we can get very rich in a bad one. Now more than ever, I’m dedicated to bring more
applicable knowledge of what it takes to succeed in the coming bad years. What we need now is the necessary knowledge to acquire real estate creatively through lease options, “subject to”, short sales, discounted notes and much more. So, get ready for a great opportunity to own real estate with little or no money.
This of course is a good thing, as the lending industry will be forced to change its guidelines making it more difficult than ever before to get high LTV, stated income mortgages. I highly recommend your proactive participation in our monthly meetings as well as attending our upcoming Short Sale Boot Camp. Only in this way, will you be able to seize the moment and make your
financial dreams come true. Remember that opportunity and crisis are the two sides of the same coin. In fact, in the Chinese tradition, the symbols for these two components are the same! What would you like to put your attention on?

March 2007
Our February meeting was a smashing success. More than 175 pairs of inquiring eyes and attentive ears hung on every word and picture being presented at the meeting. We have experienced exponential growth since August 2006, as our average attendance has more than doubled and our NCREI membership has grown by leaps and bounds. I’ve also noticed a tremendous surge in energy as
well as a renewed hope in our affordable education system. Our new investment division, Select Capital Group, has now over 100 members and the buying power of over $20 million. Our goal is to have over 1000 members and the buying power of well over $250 million in two years! This means developers will comply with our investors’ needs and give them exactly what they ask for, more bang for the buck!
“The Year of Action” theme we adopted at the outset of this year has been warmly embraced as our members have taken the message to heart and participated in our out of state projects with vigor and anticipation. We have many more exciting investment opportunities under research and due diligence for the near future. In the midst of all this activity, one thing that is not lost
on me is the value of education and my personal commitment to make it available to all. I’m working on various educational CDs and booklets that will give you the knowledge you want at a fraction of what others charge you for the same thing. I want you to save your money for the actual investing instead of just impulsive buying of overpriced and often outdated materials.
If you are looking to learn more, network well and act with purpose, come to our next meeting on March 27th 2007. See for yourself why we are considered one of the best networking and educational venues in Southern California.
I believe that your success in real estate is predicated upon harmonizing your thoughts, words and actions. If there is even one element missing from this trio, your goal of financial freedom will remain elusive. One thing is for certain: without action everything remains but a phantom. Education is valuable but it’ll only give you potential power. The true power resides in
your ability to implement your education and manifest results.
In our culture where addiction to information plays well into the hands of gurus who sell their high ticket items, I’d like to propose a more empowering approach – stop for minute and consider your alternatives. Gain some essential information at affordable prices and then act upon that knowledge. It’s better to have acted and “failed” and not having acted at all. Ultimately,
when all is said and done, we will only regret the “risks” we didn’t take. Remember that we live in a universe that responds to our actions more than any other single element. We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

What are the components of success? Let’s explore them now and help you get one step (or many steps) closer to your goal of financial freedom.
-
Responsibility
-
Responsiveness
-
People skills
-
Persistence
-
Vision
-
Networking
-
Ability to take action
-
Knowledge
-
Ability to finish a task once started (productivity)
-
Enthusiasm
To me, these factors are essential in your success. I’ll take a little time explaining each factor, but leave the more in depth discussion to a 2 hour NCREI meeting sometime this year.
-
Responsibility comes from two words: respond and ability. So, your ability to respond to any situation at hand makes you a responsible person. The more appropriately you can respond the more responsibility you possess.
-
Responsiveness is a combination of responsibility and communication. For example, the quicker you can return someone’s call the more power you generate. The faster you confront a situation at hand the more power you create for yourself and your business. The better you get a communicating precisely what’s on your mind, the more people gravitate toward you.
-
People’s skills are the major reason why certain employees with less education are promoted over those with more education. It simply means handling people around you with empathy, respect and effectiveness. It also requires you to be more empowering and encouraging than condescending and persuasive. It means you can bring out the best in people by using your source of
power and not force. Force always succumbs to power.
-
Persistence is the ability to move forward with the intention of never quitting. This factor is omnipotent in that it overcomes obstacles, surmounts crises and helps you perform at high levels of awareness.
-
Vision is the ability to see, observe and discern the future. It’s as if you’re looking at a four dimensional reality consisted of past, present and future. Vision is seeing the end result of your creation. Nothing great has been accomplished without a visionary visualizing a picture of future manifestation.
-
Networking is finding in others what you lack in yourself. That’s the only way you can make yourself complete. And with completion comes production and materialization of your dreams and objectives.
-
Ability to take action means taking charge of the physical universe. You can sit and meditate all day long and visualize great things but unless you act nothing will happen. This universe responds to our actions. Action changes the energy patterns and attractor fields that are responsible for making our dreams a reality.
-
Knowledge is fundamental but action is more powerful. A little education acted upon is more potent than lots of knowledge left unused. After all who wants to an educated derelict?
-
To begin a task is only one third of the equation. Next comes the continuation of the task and finally comes the finishing of it. The only way you feel productive (not busy) is to finish what you begin. Productivity is the basis of morale and morale means the state of well being. Next time someone asks how you’re doing, think before answering the question. If you’re just
shuffling papers and keep starting or continuing tasks, you are busy. If you’re finishing your tasks, you are productive and say so. If you feel good, you are productive and if you feel bad, you’re busy!
-
Enthusiasm comes from two words, en and theo, which means to live within God or the divine. Enthusiasm is the reason for the success of countless many. It’s the energy you exhibit which is both contagious and magnetic. It’s how you pull people toward you and why they respond to your leadership. If you don’t feel enthusiastic, act it and soon you’ll feel it!

What are your plans for 2007? Have you written down your goals and resolutions?
Did you know that by writing down your goals your chance of success goes up by a factor of 10? Just the mere act of putting your plans on paper will increase its power of manifestation. So go ahead and spend a little time writing your goals and solidifying your success in 2007 and beyond.
When you write your goals down, write them in the first tense and as if they have already been achieved. Example: I have made $200,000 by the end of 2007 or I own 5 rental properties by the end of 2007. The mind does not know the difference between what’s real and what’s imaginary. It only acts upon your thoughts and feelings and spoken words.
Post your goals somewhere you can see everyday. Take a little time reciting your goals daily and visualizing the desired outcome. This practice will help you “pull in” the right circumstances that are necessary for achieving your objectives. When you operate with Power, you pull in or attract the right people and conditions to you. When you operate with Force, you push against
the world and therefore any success you may experience is short lived.
“Power arises from meaning. It has to do with motive, and it has to do with principle. Power is always associated with that which supports the significance of life itself. It appeals to that part of human nature that we call noble – in contrast to force, which appeals to that which we call crass.”
- Excerpt from Power vs. Force
by Dr. David Hawkins
Being human is like a guest house, every morning there is a new arrival. Every day we get a brand new shot at life. There are new arrivals: some are happy and some are sad, but there is always tomorrow. Don’t despair about what has happened last year or in the past. The past does not equal the future. You can change your destiny anytime by making a new decision to look forward
with positive expectations. Do not blame others for your life conditions; instead, take responsibility for your own life. Just realize that you can make a quantum leap into higher realms of happiness and success by simply admitting to yourself that you’re 100% in charge of your own destiny: past, present and future.
I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. As always, I’m ready to help you achieve your goals.

On behalf on the NCREI staff, I want to wish you all Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy Holidays or happy whatever it is you’re celebrating. I personally love to celebrate everything that is good. Remember we are here to experience freedom, joy and growth.
The Moving finger writes; and, having writ, moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit shall lure it back to cancel half a Line, nor all thy Tears wash out one word of it.
-Omar Khayyam
One of the great illusions of humanity is the belief that past is responsible for the its current conditions. Often we rationalize this as the reason why we cannot get out of our ruts. We insist it is because of all the problems that we faced in our past.
The moving finger that Omar Khayyam refers to is your body. Once it writes it is complete, and there is absolutely nothing that you can do to unwrite it. None of your tears will erase a single word of your written story. No amount of wit, prayer, and piety can change a single drop line. It is only a trail that you have left behind. While you may benefit by reviewing that
trail, you must realize within you that only your present moment is of any significance.
It has been said many times that circumstances do not make a man, they reveal him. The tendency to blame our past for our current shortcomings is tempting. It is the easy way out, in that we have a ready excuse for refusing to take the risks involved to propel our lives forward.
Omar Khayyam reminds us in simple easy to understand language of common sense that the past is over, and not only is it over, but it is not subject to rewind or recall. Moreover, it is an illusion to believe that the past is what drives or fails to drive your life today. That finger is still attached to your heart, and can write anything it chooses, regardless of what it wrote
yesterday. Never regret yesterday. Life is in you today and you will make your tomorrow.

The Law of Attraction is universal. It works in all situations regardless of who, what and where you are. Simply stated, it means that you will manifest in your life what you put your attention on. Modern physics states it this way: the observer is responsible for creation of particles.
If you form a picture in your mind, positive or negative, and keep focusing on it you will manifest it in your life. The speed with which it’s materialized depends on the intensity of your feelings associated with the mental picture. In other words, the more you can feel it inside of you, the quicker it will show up in your life. Have you ever test driven a car of your dreams
when you couldn’t afford it only to see it in your garage sometime later? The feel and smell of the new car was so intense that you somehow managed to manifest it in your life. The same is true for a person you loved and how you dreamed about having him/her in your life and one day there he/she was.
The good news is that we are totally in charge of our own destiny. The bad news is that if we are not careful; we could bring in lots of unwanted things into our lives because our attention is on what we don’t want as opposed to what we do want. Whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.
Here is an example: Let’s say you’re overweight. You have two choices before you. You either hate being fat, which means you will manifest more of hating being fat in your life and you’ll stay fat. Or you decide to think thin and want it more than anything else in your life. This form of thinking will also be translated into you losing weight and ultimately becoming thin. Here
are some other examples: you have being poor, you hate paying bills, you hate being mistreated, etc. In every case, your hatred of what you don’t want will show up more in your life. The mind can’t differentiate between what is real and what’s imaginary, so it will materialize your thoughts of what you do want or what you don’t want just the same. So, why not see yourself prospering instead of hating being
poor? Why not see in your mind’s eyes that your bank account has such a high balance that you’re actually enjoying paying your bills. Why not see and feel yourself so confident and successful that your very presence demands respect?
This Law is the most powerful of all the universal laws and yet it’s the least understood and applied in our lives. Is it a wonder then why so many of us are suffering or leading lives of quiet desperation? Examine your thoughts, as our thoughts do become things.
So why not bring good things into our lives by having thoughts of prosperity, health, success, happiness, etc? After all, we do become what we think about all day long.

There is a theory in psychology that if you form a picture in your mind of what you would like to be, and you keep and hold that picture there long enough, you will soon become exactly as you have been thinking.
This holds true for both positive and negative thoughts. So be careful what you’re thinking about, as you shall become what you think about all day long. The power of imagination is such that Albert Einstein declared, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” With imagination you can realize your full potential, as you can tap into the field of all possibilities.
You can manifest your destiny using a simple guideline. First, you need to really wish it, then you need to really desire it, then you need to really intend it and finally you need to feel really passionate about it. This process requires daily practice but it is achievable.

Recently I returned from a trip to Italy. I traveled throughout the country and was mesmerized by it's history and culture. Of all the magnificent places I visited, the one that touched me the most was Assisi, where St. Francis was laid to rest. St. Francis of Assisi was the founder of the Franciscan order of monks. He approached life with joyousness and a love of nature,
calling all living beings his brothers and sisters.
St. Francis has a simple prayer which is world-renowned. This simple prayer has helped me overcome many adversities with great self-confidence. So, it's only appropriate that I pay respect to this great human being who has influenced the lives of millions of people. I suggest you print this prayer and read it everyday. It will bring you good fortune.
Lord, make me an instrument of Your Peace; Where there is hatred, let me sew love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy; O Grand Master, grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled as to console; To be
understood as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are both born to eternal light

As Emerson once said, the ancestor to every action is a thought. We have also heard, as we think so we shall become. Or you become what you think about all day long. All these expressions and countless many others indicate that the first element needed for success is right thinking.
If thoughts are the precursor to actions, it is our words that act as the bridge between them. How we speak to ourselves and to others is of critical importance. It is essential to have harmony between our thoughts, words and actions. If you think one thing, speak contradictory to those thoughts, and do something different, you will never succeed or be happy. You may fool
others (or yourself) in the short term but in the long term your life will never be truly fulfilling. Even if you do all right financially, you'll be a mental, emotional and spiritual wreck!
Long lasting inner happiness as well as the stable outer success will only occur if you're able to harmonize your thoughts, words and actions. As an example, if you are thinking financial freedom can be attained in real estate but fail to speak to yourself and others in a congruent fashion, or are not willing take the necessary actions, you will not achieve your goals. Even if
you do two out of three you'll still suffer the consequences of your inconsistencies
Have the courage to speak confidently about how you see your future unfolding and then act decisively in a manner that's consistent with your vision. Only in this way can we truly realize our potential.

“Recognized geniuses may be rare, but genius resides within all of us. There’s no such thing as “luck,” or “accident” in this cosmos; and not only is everything connected to everything else, no one is excluded from the universe – we’re all members. Consciousness, like physicality, is a universal quality; because genius is a characteristic of consciousness, genius is
also universal. It follows that that which is universal is available to each and every person.”
Power vs. Force by
David Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.
What Dr. Hawkins is telling us here is that the process of creativity and genius are inherent in all of humanity. The potential genius resides within everyone – it simply waits for the right circumstances to express itself. We all can recall moments in our life when we made a brilliant move or decision, or said exactly the right thing at the right time, without quite knowing
why.
One of the challenges in attempting to understand genius is that it takes near-genius to recognize it. Until one acknowledges the intrinsic genius within oneself, one will have great difficulty recognizing it in others – we can only acknowledge without what we realize within. So, as you access your own creativity and personal genius, you will begin to resonate with the genius
in everyone you meet. Imagine the synergy you could manifest!
Have the courage to believe in yourself and your abilities. Know that you are a genius and cultivate your creativity by tapping into your source of power. It’s within you now, waiting to be discovered.

Don’t call it uncertainty – call it wonder.
Don’t call it insecurity – call it freedom.
Life is not a mechanical process; it cannot be certain. It is inevitably an unpredictable mystery. Nobody knows what is going to happen in the next moment, let alone in the next year, but this is a good thing. If we always knew what was going to happen, life would be unbearable. Without uncertainty there is no freedom, and no choice. Without uncertainty there is no possibility for growth and change. If
everything were predestined, then there would be no chance at glory, no chance at grandeur. We would be no more than robots!
But the fact is nothing is secure. Nothing is certain. Life is full of surprises – and that is its beauty. The grand tapestry of life continues to weave unpredictably, and it is that uncertainty that affords you a sense of personal freedom. So don’t call it insecurity and get stressed out about it. See that glass half full!
The only place you find significant certainty is in prison. Everything is a dead routine day in and day out. You know you’ll get to eat, you’ll definitely have a roof over your head, but there is no freedom. Is that a compromise you’d be willing to make? I’m guessing that you would probably choose your freedom over all the “security” this world could offer.
If you can become comfortable with this world of constant change then you are always ready to adapt to new circumstances and act proactively. Accepting this uncertain world as it is rather than fighting against uncertainty puts us in a position to be an active and powerful participant in the tapestry. So, embrace insecurities, celebrate uncertainties and enjoy your freedom. Life is in you today and you
can make your future.

I often hear people telling me that they don’t seem to be able to make real connections with others in the course of their business activities and therefore miss out on some golden opportunities. I always advise that they learn to manage their moods. The reality is that every mood seeks companionship. Just as misery loves company, cheerful and enthusiastic people want to
associate with other upbeat people. If you are unable to match your energy with the energy of the person you’re speaking with, chances are they will not choose to do business with you.
When some people wake up in the morning, they’re fairly subdued. Other people have their eyes pop open immediately and feel wide-awake and alert before their feet hit the floor. On some occasions you need to tone down your vigor to simply be able to communicate with those still puffy-eyed people. Conversely, there may be instances when you have to find a way to pep yourself up to connect with someone more
energetic. This might be more challenging.
The renowned Psychologist, William James, explained how moods may be managed through actions. “Action seems to follow feeling, but really action and feeling go together; and by regulating the action, which is under the more direct control of the will, we can indirectly regulate the feeling, which is not.” He continued, “Thus, the sovereign voluntary path to cheerfulness, if our spontaneous cheerfulness be
lost, is to sit up cheerfully, to look around cheerfully, and to act and speak as if cheerfulness were already there. If this conduct does not make you soon feel cheerful, nothing else on that occasion can.” In other words, if you feel lousy, act cheerful – and soon you’ll probably feel cheerful. (It works the other way, too!) Remember, people like people who are like themselves.
This takes some practice, but I’m certain you can get good at it if you stick with it. I think you’ll be surprised not just at how easy it becomes to relate to people, but also at the sense of personal power and liberation that comes with direct experience of controlling your own emotions.

This is the true joy in life: The being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. The being a force of nature, instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live, it is my privilege
to do for it whatever I can.
I want to be thoroughly used up when I die – for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no “brief candle” to me; it is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it down to future generations.
-- George Bernard Shaw
People who enjoy life as if their being is a force of nature are doers who are fully alive, have little patience for complainers and whiners, and generally are active every day of their lives. They are not active just to stay busy, but are rejoicing in their life activities. They have no time or interest for petty grievances of others, nor are they preoccupied with this kind
of activity themselves. Shaw asks us to let go of our self-absorption and get involved in the true joy of life, which is to feel that you are being used for a purpose.
Examine your life, find your own purpose and then pursue it with all your might. An unexamined life is not worth living.

"There should be less talk; a preaching point is not a meeting point. What do you do then? Take a broom and clean someone’s house. That says enough." - Mother Teresa
The most effective way to teach anyone what we would like them to know is through action, not words. Often endless hours are spent in conversation, taking classes and expressing our frustration about what we find objectionable.
Words that are not backed by action become simply a “preaching point” and nothing more. If you want to make a point, you may need to create a “meeting point” with new and effective behavior. Remember the old aphorism, “I hear, I forget; I see, I remember; I do, I understand.”
Behavior is the most effective way to communicate to others in your life. When you find yourself besieged in the futility of word games that just address the surface of an issue, stop and remind yourself of the great wisdom in Mother Teresa’s suggestion. Ask yourself, “What can I do here?” instead of continuing to try to make your point.
The same applies to our real estate investing game. There is only so much you can learn about how and where to invest. Thereafter, you must take action, however small, to understand the entire game. Only in this way, can you fully realize your potential in life.

You can only achieve in the Now. There is no past or future. There is only the moment, the present time. If you could do away with the words “past” and “future” you would be much better off in life. In reality, the past and future are only illusions. It is the ego that needs the concepts of past and future as points of reference from which to operate. But the ego tends to
fear the present moment and it hides away in these illusions. This separates us from a direct and clear experience of reality as it is. If you could stop thinking in these terms it would help reduce the grip of your ego, it would help reduce stress, and it would help you to make better decisions in each moment.
Since there is no past and no future, what’s to worry about? The only reality is Now, and at this instant the rent is paid. It’s all a matter of create, create, create. What do you wish to see before your eyes? It is your choice. If you go down in flames, you can rise again like the Phoenix. You must not be afraid to take a risk, to take a chance. Ultimately you will only
regret the risks you didn’t take in life.

Start the New Year on the right track. Make a decision to be the master of your thoughts. What you think has enormous power over what you say to yourself and others, and what will eventually manifest: good, bad, or ugly! The real trick is to harmonize your thoughts, words, and actions. This harmony will put you in the driver’s seat of your life.
When you fill your mind with thoughts of success, don’t allow doubts to negate your power. Visualize your success and feel it in your gut. Emotions help your thoughts to crystallize! Now you must follow your thoughts with words of success. Talk to yourself about how successful you are and do the same when you talk with others. Focus on your accomplishments. Finally, act as if you have already succeeded.
Stand tall, speak your mind, and believe in yourself and your divine ability to make it all happen.
This year will be a great one for all of us. As I have always said, knowledge is only potential power (and you all know we’ve been gathering a lot of knowledge over the last couple of years at NCREI). Now it’s time to follow up with taking action on our knowledge, which is real power. Everyone wants motivated sellers and I now have a vehicle to bring them to us. Many of you will benefit from this new
venture as we expand our advertising campaign in California and other states.
The approaching opportunity is the result of harmonizing my own thoughts for success for all of the club members with the words that I speak at our monthly meetings, and taking then taking the actions that will bring about results.
On behalf of my team; Irene, Aaron, Janine, Ernest, Michelle, Vivian, and Maria, I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. May God bless you all.
Kindest Regards,

"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured and far away."
Henry David Thoreau
Within each of us there is voice that whispers, “Take the risks, pursue your dreams, live life to the fullest. As long as you’re not hurting anyone else, why not?” Then outside of us there are voices that scream, “Don’t be a fool, you are going to fail, just be like everyone else. If you do what you want you’re being selfish and hurting others.”
It appears to me that all of those who have made a difference in any profession have listened to the music they hear and proceeded independent of the opinion of others. For doing so, they have been labeled troublemakers, incorrigibles, even misfits. Yet they become highly respected after death. It seems that society in general always seems to honor its living conformists and its dead troublemakers. This
applies to David Henry Thoreau who was vilified for his views in his essay "On The Necessity of Civil Disobedience," and jailed for refusing to obey what he considered absurd rulings. Yet today he is required reading in virtually all high schools and universities.
The beat that you hear within yourself is your connection to your divine purpose on earth. It will continue to plague you when you ignore it or suppress it in an attempt to conform with society. Thoreau is directly speaking to you about your own self-sufficiency and happiness. Whatever it is you feel compelled to be or do is the voice of your soul pleading with you to have the courage to listen and act on
the music you hear, as long as it doesn’t interfere with anyone else’s right to pursue his/her dreams.
So, demonstrate your boldness by taking action today. You never know what you’re capable of achieving unless you dance to the melody of your own dreams.

As Emerson once said, “the ancestor to every action is a thought”. You first have an idea; then you have a thought; then you have action. It’s important to see the distinctions among them, for if you try to put them together you will lose clarity. At first it may appear that they are all happening at the same time, but this is not the case. If your awareness is high, you
will see where one starts and the other takes over.
An idea is worthless if no thought follows. And the thought is useless unless it’s implemented. If you like the idea of being a successful real estate investor, then spend time contemplating the outcome. Form powerful thoughts that will propel you forward to your goal.
Don’t believe the naysayer's reasons why it won’t work Every negative thought serves to set you back and causes you to lose momentum. Trust your own thoughts and begin to take action everyday in the direction of your goal. Keep your own counsel and avoid making your goals public until you have achieved the desired outcome. In other words, don’t say anything, just show them the results.
For instance, if you’re embarking on a new business venture, keep quiet until the business starts operation. If you’ve found a bargain property, don’t say a word to anyone until you put it under contract. The fact is that most people are negative and jealous. They wouldn’t be happy to know that you’re succeeding. Most people are conformists and that’s why they don’t succeed. Nonconformity is the name of
the game; you have to have the courage to do what the masses are afraid to.

Your thoughts should not control you. Thoughts are things and you can create them or avoid them consciously. If you can learn to monitor and control your thinking, you can create that which you want to manifest in your daily lives. Increasing your awareness of your own thoughts will allow you to have that which you desire.
Your thoughts are constantly manifesting themselves in the material world. If you believe you are likely to fail, you are right. If you believe success is inevitable you will not give up until you have achieved it. Changing your thoughts will make the difference between where you are and where you want to be. If you learn to choose your thoughts, and you choose them wisely,
you will have the ability to change your world and create what is important to you at all times.
The key to this kind of conscious manifestation is self-awareness. So learn to watch yourself. Awareness of your thoughts will make you truly free.
You must not allow the thoughts that you don't want to have. If you do, they will eventually manifest visibly in your life in ways you didn't want and never expected to create. You will end up sabotaging your own efforts! You also need to differentiate thoughts that are not yours from your own. Be careful whom you spend time with and consider how
their thoughts might be affecting yours. Work to see the lies in your thoughts and in the thoughts of the people around you, and you will have the key to truth in your life.
Remember, thoughts are just things. You can change your thoughts like you change your clothes. You wont know until you try.
Being involved with a group of like minded people like those at NCREI is one of those effective and life changing decisions for many of our members. Our club members are there to learn and apply their knowledge to become financially independent using real estate as their investment vehicle. So, I would like to encourage you to do the same. Come and
network with us on the fourth Tuesday of every month and see how your life will change for the better.

Where is your energy going? Every day, many people find themselves without adequate energy to carry on with their objectives. Some resort to drugs, alcohol, vitamins, etc. in the hope to reenergize themselves and achieve at peak levels.
Clearly, good natural supplements are helpful, but they won’t create miracles. The truth is that we can only succeed in life when we are creating. Creativity is our inherent state. It has been bestowed upon us by the Prime Creator, Life Force, Nature, God, whatever you prefer to call it.
Creating gives us the energy to create more, which gives us more energy for more creation. Without creating we cannot be happy. We need to create, create and create. In this way, we will grow, grow and grow. Growth will make us better, happier and more successful. And isn’t this why we came here in the first place?
How do we lose our energy? Try negativity in our environment for starters. The news, confrontations, poisonous relationships, jobs we hate and more. The fact is we have control and we can choose. We must first notice where our energy is blocked or lost. Then we need to unblock these sources and make a decision to handle them effectively.
If you notice a sharp drop in our energy during and after watching the news on TV, stop watching the news. If you notice that certain confrontations with family members are poisonous, do your best to avoid them by simply walking away. If you lose your energy the moment you walk into your job, get a job that you enjoy doing. If you notice your energy
drops upon consuming certain food, stop eating it.
The simple fact is that you will not realize your full potential if you just kept losing your energy all the time. Successful people in history had an uncanny ability to observe the sources of energy loss and made a concerted effort to align themselves with what gives them more energy. When you stop the bleeding of energy, you will gain tremendous momentum, which would ultimately help you create powerful
results. Energy can be best utilized when it flows. Energy flows are responsible for making your dreams come true. You can have all that you ever dreamed of when you constantly increase your energy by refusing to have it wasted in unwanted areas.

Jimmy Hoffa once said; “I have many faults but being wrong is not one of them.” Most of today’s so-called real estate experts exhibit the same belligerent confidence about their opinions. Some of their predictions are nothing short of disastrous; many of the experts have been predicting a major turndown in the market for the last 3 years, but we all know what has happened
during this period. Still, no one wants to admit he was wrong.
The problem with listening to these “experts” is that it confuses and paralyzes those who would accept their words as scripture.
The fact is, no one really knows for sure what the future has in store for us. The economic and social factors we’re facing now are unique. US demographics are shifting radically. We have the largest population of the wealthy senior citizens ever and the baby boomers are fast approaching the retirement age. Moreover, most of the world wants to come to America and we just don’t have enough homes to
accommodate them all!
For all we know the values may be going up and up and you may be losing money every single day you wait on the sidelines. My suggestion is to get involved. Don’t wait until everything is perfect, as it never will be. Buy real estate anywhere you can now and plan to hold it long term if need be. Real estate in a good location will never lose value if held for the long term. Unlike other investments, real
estate offers you many options to allow you to hold on until the market turns around. These options include, but are not limited to, refinancing, equity lines of credit, lease options, land contracts, renting and more. Moreover, tax benefits of real estate are far better than any other investment vehicle.
So, my advice to you is to listen to your heart after you read the predictions. If you feel right about investing go ahead and act upon your desire immediately. You need not be listening to the advice of “educated derelicts” who claim to know it all but fail to act in any meaningful way themselves.
I encourage you to attend our monthly real estate meetings. At these meetings you can gain the necessary tools to make wiser decisions in your future real estate investments on your path to financial independence.

“There is a law in psychology that if you form a picture in your mind of what you would like to be, and you keep and hold that picture there long enough, you will soon become exactly as you have been thinking.”
William James
Many consider William James the father of modern psychology. He fully understood the power of human mind and creative visualization. The fact is that we become what we think about all day long! So, what are you thinking about most of the time? How do you see yourself in your mind’s eye? Do you see yourself as one who has unlimited potential capable of achieving any objective
or a victim of circumstances? Do you believe that life events create your reality or do you use the events as stepping stones toward accomplishing your goals? If we realize that events do not define us but rather test our resolve to become more focused on our goals, there is nothing that can stop us in life.
To manifest your destiny you need to know that “What you Really, Really, Really, Really, want, you will get.” The first Really is for what you Really Wish. The second Really is for what you Really Desire. The third Really is for what you Really Intend and the fourth Really is for what you are Really-Passionate about. So, go out there and really wish, desire, intend, and
be passionate about pursuing your dreams, and you will certainly GET WHAT YOU WANT.

“Whoso would be a man, must be a nonconformist. He who would gather immortal psalms must not be hindered by the name of goodness, but must explore if it be goodness. Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
In perhaps his best known and most frequently quoted essay, “Self-Reliance,” Emerson expresses that to be fully alive one must resist social enculturation and be a nonconformist. Society expects conformity at the expense of personal liberty. It demands that you fit in or be an outcast. In contrast to this way of thinking, Emerson valued the integrity of the individual mind.
Many people are not aware that Emerson was also a minister and had given much thought to what is and is not sacred. To him it was not the rules, laws, and societal mores, but the self- determined mind. Further on in “Self-Reliance” Emerson declares, “No law can be sacred to me but that of my nature.” This profoundly courageous statement is from a man who understood that divinity and sacredness are not in
the institutions of the church but in the minds of individuals. Our conduct makes us divine creatures, not our memberships. How we use our minds as freethinking people is what makes us sacred, not how well we cite the laws to protect our malice or vanity.

The leadership instinct you are born with is the backbone. You develop the funny bone and the wishbone that go with it.
- Elaine Agather
Leadership is not magnetic personality—that can just as well be a glib tongue. It is not "making friends and influencing people"—that is flattery. Leadership is lifting a person's vision to higher sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations.
- Peter F. Drucker
A good leader inspires others with confidence in him; a great leader inspires them with confidence in themselves.
- Unknown
Leadership these days is confused by politics and politicians. Worse than this, most people seem to feel that if they are not a politician they must be, and can only be, a follower. Yes, of course, there are business leaders, religious leaders, etc., but with the help of the media and our education system most of us have been indoctrinated into thinking that normal people like us cannot be leaders in any
way, shape, or form.
In fact, most people seem to have accepted the inevitability of a subservient role in society and stand by while decisions are made for them by the politicians. Many of these decisions directly or indirectly affect our financial future and yet we sit back allow it as though it were our only possible fate. Whether or not we take political action, I believe that as individuals we need to fight against the
numbing affects of the bureaucracy and take back control over our cash flow. We must develop inner awareness and make the conscious decision to be the Captain of our own ship. Let us lead ourselves, and any that follow, confidently toward success. Let's challenge ourselves to be leaders of our own lives.
What I’m talking about here is to using discretion, responsibility, choice, inspiration, involvement, self reliance, trust in yourself, and faith in the higher power. Also important is education and the ability to take action, and this is precisely what we are committed to providing at NCREI.
So get educated and learn how to protect your financial security. Don’t leave your future in the hands of those who are only concerned with getting elected and reelected. Our social security is in jeopardy, our national deficit is booming, the gas prices are going higher and will stay that way. What are you doing to help yourself to help your family? How are you going to deal with the sky rocketing cost
of living?
I would like to suggest that success is a matter of personal choice and not outside chance because no one else will do it for you. Come and get educated about how to make money in real estate, save money on mortgages, acquire real estate in smart ways with little or no money out of your pocket, etc. Don’t leave your financial security in the hands of those whose goals are not aligned with yours. Be your
own person, make up your own mind and lead yourself to the top of success ladder. All the knowledge and help that you want is here. You need only to decide and act today. See you at our next Club meeting.

"The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it."
- Michelangelo
I believe the renowned painter of the Renaissance who had a long and highly successful life was speaking to this idea of having very high hopes and aims in this famous quotation.
The danger is not in false hope, rather it is in no hope or low hopes. Therefore our aims and objectives are diminished by our beliefs before they can be worked on and materialized. You will see what you believe, not the other way around.
The world is full of people who think too small or aim too low. As a way of convincing themselves of their own imagined limitations, these people always want to impose their limited point of view on the people around them. Many fall victim to this discouragement and settle for a life of under achievement.
Do not discuss your goals and dreams with those who have negative beliefs. Every time you share your enthusiasm with these people your energy is sapped! Soon you will give up striving because you have no more energy left to do anything. Maintain your energy level by taking action a little every day in the direction of your dreams. Don't talk to people, just show them!
To succeed in life, we must THINK BIG and ACT BOLDLY! There is magic and power in boldness. So, don't allow anyone to tell you how you should live your life. Be the Capitan of your own ship and sail to wherever your heart desires. After all, who is ultimately responsible for your life's failures and successes but yourself?

The game of negotiating is a delicate balance between give and take, or “reach" and "withdraw.” This concept is a powerful tool not just in sales but also in managing all of our interpersonal relationships.
Let’s say you like someone a lot and wish to date them. If you keep "reaching" for them by constantly trying contacting them, they are are going to loose interest in you quickly. By interrupting the vital balance of "reach" and "withdraw" you’re not giving them a chance to meet you half way. Every “reach” or two that you make must be followed by a “withdraw.” If they also have
an interest in you, they'll then reach for you and suddenly we have a viable relationship. Reaching or giving impulsively without having the discipline to back off (withdraw) will undoubtedly ruin the relationship. This is true in all human relationships, not just romantic ones.
Now, let’s say you’re selling a product or service. If you’re constantly pursuing a path of giving, reaching, or pushing, your prospect will get scared and walk away. In order to succeed, you need to withdraw or take away the opportunity you are presenting. It might seem counter-intuitive, but this will make him reach for you and for what you have to offer. Likewise, when
you’re negotiating to buy a property, be sure not to act overanxious or desperate. Act as if it will not make a big difference in your life whether you get the deal or not. For every concession you give, try to get one from the seller. Act as if you have an abundance of opportunities and will be exploring all options. In this way, the seller will have more respect for you and will desire to deal with you
because you don’t “need” what he has but rather you “want” it.

We wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.
Our new year’s resolution is to bring education, knowledge and power to your real estate investing.
Some people say that education is power, I personally believe that knowledge alone is not enough. It is only potential power, meaning it has the ability to supply you with power but does not give you it. The only way to attain power is by applying your knowledge and making things happen. The reason many real estate investors won’t fare well is that they never do anything with their education to begin with.
They spend thousands of dollars every year to buy books and tapes and attend seminars. But very few even read the materials let alone use them.
In my research I have discovered that the reason for one’s failure to apply his/her knowledge stems from his/her inability to comprehend the real estate terminology. This means that most people have very little or no understating of the fundamental terms and concepts in real estate. Even worse, many people “think” they know the specific terminology but they really don’t! This phenomenon is even more
detrimental to one’s success because “misunderstanding” something is really worse than “not understanding” it. Misunderstanding is the root of non-action, broken relationships, conflicts, wars………
In my continuing efforts to help our investors to break the boundaries of non-action, I’m preparing for a ground breaking seminar on this very subject. I will be defining the most fundamental terms, words and concepts in real estate. I’ll take you through a journey of self realization and total comprehension of these vital elements. At the conclusion of the seminar you will be very clear about the meaning
and definition of each word and how it all fits together to form concepts that are critical to your success.
Mark your calendar for this fabulous one-of-a-kind event. It will take place on April 26, 2005. This seminar will be your gateway to pro-activity and success in real estate investing. Don’t miss it! And bring along your friends.
All the best,

“People are disturbed not by things that happen but by their opinion of things that happen.”- Author Known
It is our opinions of things and not the things themselves that cause the disturbances of our lives. What a great source of liberation to know that no one can upset us, that nothing out there can make us feel miserable, that we can control how we feel by how we decide to process things, events, and other people, and their opinions.
Let’s say you’re upset by something someone had said or done. What if I asked you, “Suppose you didn’t know what they had said about you, would you still be upset?” You would probably respond with something like, “Of course not. How could I be upset about something, if I didn’t know about it?” I would gently say to you, “So it wasn’t what they said or did. That happened and
you weren’t upset at all, until you learned of it, and then you decided to react by being disturbed. So, I would like you to realize and be aware that no one can make you upset without your consent.
Here is a suggestion to help you implement this awareness into your daily life. Let go of any inclination you have to blame external circumstances for your unhappiness. When you feel disturbed ask yourself, “How can I change my opinion of these things to remove my discomfort?” Then work at it until the blame is gone.
All the best,

“If you look at those particular skills you have developed over the years, the talents that you have exhibited, you will find they are the gifts you opened and enjoyed”
So, open your gifts! You have many gifts that you’ve never opened. These are the gifts of talent, ability and “reach” that are yours for the taking. The people we call gifted are different from the crowd in one very special way. They accepted their gifts. They “let it happen.” The high achievers, the persons you admire, are those individuals who opened their gifts. The winners
have more gifts because they claimed them, took them out of the wrapping, and used them.
Now it’s time for you to do something with your gifts. Claim them, and you create them. Reach for them, and they materialize. Use them, and they grow to serve you still better.
To become successful in your real estate business, you must free up your shining wings and fly high and free. You must break out of your “imagined cocoon” of safety and explore the possibilities. Open some more of your gifts. Find your wings.

“On the way to your goal, you’ll discover that you know more than you know you know.”
---Sam Sadat
Don’t bog down in getting prepared for making a quantum leap in your life. Whatever else you need will come as you go. You could make a career out of laying the groundwork to do something big in real estate. You need to understand that don’t “prepare” for a quantum leap. You make it, and then fine tune your approach. You go for it, instead of forever getting ready so you will
be sure to get it right. “Zero defects” is a hostile concept in the pursuit of your goals.
First you act, and then you frame out the details of your strategy. Move on your dreams…start… and let what happens help you develop a coherent game plan. Flexibility is the crucial element. Strategy formulation then evolves naturally out of your discovery process.
Once again, a quantum leap is something you are already prepared to do! A quantum leap is a move that is yours for the taking. Right now. It represents a giant step you can make merely by deciding to and opening yourself up to the resources presently available to serve you. “Getting ready” is, quite frankly, a stalling tactic, an act of anxiety, a con game you’re working on
yourself. You are already positioned to escape to a higher plane of performance. If you wait until you can get it perfect, you will never get it at all.

I have compiled this list which is the result of analyzing leaders and successful people in all walks of life for the last few decades. Most have 10 traits that, when combined, can turn dreams into reality.
-
1. How you think is everything: Always be positive. Think success, not failure. Beware of a negative environment and avoid if all possible.
-
2. Decide upon your true dreams and goals: Write down your specific goals and develop a plan to reach them. Not having goals is like trying to hit a target that doesn’t exist.
-
3. Take action: Goals are nothing without action. Don’t be afraid to get started now. Just do it. Action cures fear.
-
4. Never stop learning: Go back to school or read books or attend seminars. Get training and acquire skills. Make learning this your life mission.
-
5. Be persistent and work hard. Success is a marathon, not a sprint. There are no short cuts in life. Never ever ever ever give up!
-
6. Learn to analyze details: Get all the facts, all the input. Making mistakes is a good thing as long you learn from them.
-
7. Focus your time and money: Do not allow other people or events distract you. Stay the course and keep your eyes on your goals and the setbacks along the way.
